Diet that promise rapid
weight loss, it's a cynical ploy to get desperate dieters to part with their hard earned cash.
Think of it this way. There are 3,500
calories in 1lb of
fat. To lose 18lbs of
body fat you'd need to burn 63,000
calories of
body fat. In other words, 15,750
calories a day. The average woman burns 2,000
calories a day. How are you going to burn an extra 13,750
calories a day? You only burn around 2,600
calories running a marathon! It's just not possible.
1-2lbs a day is the max healthy, safe
weight loss you should aim for. Anything above that in the first week or two of a
diet is water. If you want a formal
diet, there are plenty of good ones out there to try - diets that don't make ridiculous
weight loss claims! Don't waste your money.
