As far as fast food being addictive, it's sort of true. If you've read _Fast Food Nation_, there is an entire chapter about the flavor and aroma chemicals that are added to almost all processed foods to make them even more delicious (in their fatty way) than homecooked versions of the same thing. No matter what you do, you can't make fries at home that taste like McD's. Their flavor chemicals are patented. |

But one good thing about supersize was, when we did eat there, one of us would get the super size and the other would get the burger of there choice, and we spilt the fries and coke. I know we were cheap-Os but for two University stunted, we had to be. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | That is stupid to sue McDonalds for their weight gain. They should have been eating smart and excercising in the first place. People who gain weight shouldn't blame McDonalds for their trouble. If McDonalds didn't exist they would try to sue another company. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | fast food I quit fast food cold turkey. But there was a time when I went 5 times a week, it drained my money and I gained weight. Now when I eat fast food its a rare occasion, and I despise it. Not going to fast food restaurants anymore really makes me feel better. |

Rep Power: 0 | | What you are talking about is a movie called "Super Size Me" (now out on DVD and video in case you want to rent it and watch it at home.) This guy did an experiment where he ate McDonalds 3 times a day for a month.
************************************************** *******
(Quoted from the film's web page...) "During the journey, he put his own body on the line, living on nothing but McDonald's for an entire month with three simple rules:
1) No options: he could only eat what was available over the counter (water included!)
2) No supersizing unless offered
3) No excuses: he had to eat every item on the menu at least once
It all adds up to a fat food bill, harrowing visits to the doctor, and compelling viewing for anyone who's ever wondered if man could live on fast food alone.
The film explores the horror of school lunch programs, declining health and physical education classes, food addictions and the extreme measures people take to lose weight and regain their health.
Ominously, 37% of American children and adolescents are carrying too much fat and 2 out of every three adults are overweight or obese. Is it our fault for lacking self-control, or are the fast-food corporations to blame?"

Hey Folks - It's all about "choices". Nobody is holding you down and force feeding fattening fast food (say that 10 times real fast LOL), down your throat. It's not just McD's, it's all of the fast food places. They need to offer healthier options yes, but ultimately it's your choice, your decision what you put past your lips. Americans unfortunately live in a fast paced society and people ARE lazy and they ARE pressed for time sometimes and they DO look for an easy way out and they DO seek out convenience from time to time! Some feel the best part is that you don't even have to get out of your car! You can eat as much as you want in the privacy of your automobile, nobody watching you stuff your face, nobody judging you or staring at you.
If you get a chance watch it. If you're looking for some kind of motivation I guarantee it will keep you out of the drive-thru (or at least opting for a salad with a fat-free dressing!)
