Hi! I agree that working with a personal trainer, either in person or online, may be helpful to you, as long as they are going to teach you about proper form. It's very important to understand how to properly perform exercises to avoid injury and get the most out of your workout.

Weight lifting should not take an hour. An effective workout can be done in half an hour. Remember that it's important to challenge your muscle with heavy weights, once you get used to the exercises. Don't be afraid to go heavy as long as you can maintain proper form. It's also important to have rest days and even rest weeks away from weights to give your muscles a break.
