Rep Power: 79572 | | Well, I guess I will check in here as well then...started out with 369 lbs, made it to 347.7 so far. Trying to get down to 200, and then re-evaluate.
It's good to see that I'm not on my own though. If there is somebody out there who is in the same eight-class and wants to have a chat, feel free to PM me at any time...

Well I wish I wasnt in this club
But I am and hope to get out of it, that's what is important.
I started my diet august 26th, 2008
Im a 20 year old male and weighed 437 lbs that day. I'm probably the biggest person on here.
Lost 7 lbs so far.. and I have a long journey, but I am going to lose it all for sure. I want it more than ever.
Hopefully I get through my weight loss safely and change my life into a new healthy me.
Im really sick of all the food I ate before, literally. I dont even want it.
Nice to meet everyone, Glad to see im not the only one going through this, this board is truly going to help me get through everything.
Thank you all.

At 437 lbs you may be the heaviest, but how tall are you? I think that what it really boils down to is BMI or % body fat. If you are 6'6", 437 lbs is heavier than some one 5'6" weight 400 lbs, but not bigger (proportionally).
Either way, congrats on your great start and I hope that you do well. I found this site to be a great motivational tool. Also I enjoy seeing what others are doing and having success with. Just don't jump from one person's routine to another thinking that his is better than hers is better than yours. That goes for both "diet" and exercise. We are all INDIVIDUALS and there is no cookie cutter program that will work for everyone. Once you find what works for you, stick with it! If you plateau, don't give up and try something else, just modify what you are already doing and see if that helps.
Rocky

Rep Power: 3 | | | Kind of stuck in a plateau right now. Still on Target to get under 300 lbs by end of this month but will have to try and break this plateau. Did my last weigh in and only lost a pound. I was expecting more but at least it was a pound lost and not gained. My next weigh in will be the 15th.

Rep Power: 0 | | | ^ a pound is still a pound! Keep on truckin' and hit it like an animal and you'll break the pleteau don't let it kill your motivation.
Well i'm also a former 300'er. Needless to say, I was sick of it and I can't even imagine how I could eat all that food so much. I've been relaxing this past week taking a little break from everything and i'm noticing i'm not even veering to anything bad. The craving to eat it really has gone I guess

I think you'll melt off the first 160lbs with ease, as if you just cahnge you diet a bit, and try to get a start at getting some exercise in, your body will react quickly. You can do it!!!

Rep Power: 0 | | 5'8 isn't a bad hight! and you'll do amazing !! just keep yourself around people who support you! and start slow, even if it takes a few years to get down to your goal weight! so what! thats at least 7 years of your life that your weight won't take from you(obesity takes on average 7 years from you)
and you're doing fantastic so far! so just keep going and don't worry about anything!! Quote:

Rep Power: 0 | | 9-7-08 Hey Everyone, it's been a couple of weeks since I checked in. I wish I had better news to report, but I have actually gained 5.6 pounds over the last two weeks. Normally I would be upset or discouraged over this, but one of those weeks I was in Vegas and I had a great time, so I expected the weight gain. (LOL) I will be working hard over the next few weeks, because I am really looking to moving into the 200 pound club!
Welcome to the new members and good luck with your weight loss, if I can do it then anyone can do it. Just remember don't get down on yourself, when I say I get discouraged that only last for like a 1/2 hour and then I move on. Sometimes, you just have to let the bad things go and look to the future weigh in.
