One tip that may people may find helpful is to put your water into a bigger container. For example, I use a 750mL CamelBak water bottle. It's much easier for me to tell myself that I'm going to drink two of these before lunch and two after, then drink probably the equivalent of one at night. That ends up being about a gallon a day. Otherwise it's hard for people to constantly run back and forth to fill up smaller glasses, plus it's harder to know exactly how much you're getting. With these water bottles, I know that 5 is a little over a gallon.
