It sounds like you lost a couple of pounds a week last time, which is fine in itself. From what else you've said, there were some other elements that made you sick. I do not recommend crash dieting in the least. My first crash diet I was 102lb. I have since "dieted" my way all the way up to over 202lb. Yes, I don't only blame the eating for that, I blame the dieting as well - the lack of balance. My weight loss seems slow to me now. I find that a bit hard to deal with - even just weighing once a week. I know how to at least double it, without feeling much more hungry, but for me the real battle now is to maintain balance and control so that this fight up and down is a thing of my past.

If you are eating properly you must be making invisible progress right now - but it is progress! You might not have seen it on the scales in one day (I would have expected that if it was me too!), but you will see it everywhere before March. With that exercise, I bet you feel heaps better already don't you? Well done!!

"my butt hurts"

Oh I remember that feeling from my own last attempt at biking. I wouldn't exactly call it my "butt" though!!
