It's possible, although maybe not optimal.
Assume you can lose 1 - 2 lbs per week, which is a healthy
weight loss. You have about 12 weeks to lose the weight. Your best and safest
weight loss will be, at best 24 lbs. There are some variations on this that may help you lose weight faster - like people who are really overweight seem to drop the first few
pounds with ease - but generally speaking, it's unlikely you can drop 30 lbs in that kind of time frame.
As an added incentive, though: the slower the
weight loss, the less likely you are to regain it.
