Cool Kumty: UPDATE and Questions

Hello All,
I wanted to give you an update on my progress so far. I started at 235 Pounds in January at 6 feet 0.2 inches, and now I stand at 199 pounds. I lost the weight through cardio and weights and calorie restriction. But my goal by the last day of THIS May is 173 Pounds (if not less, up to 170 max). This goal is very intense, and therefore I have adjusted my calorie intake accordingly. I eat around 850 calories a day and burn 1100 calories at the gym at least three days a week. The days I don't go to the gym I eat a maximum of 1000 calories. In the past I was eating around 1300 and burning around 850 calories. But to rev up the metabolism, I have turned my diet plan around. I am now also almost completely cutting carbs and when I do eat them, the ones that have a low G.I are the ones I go for (same applies for all the foods I eat). I just wanted to know if this would be enough to reach my goal. Will I reach a plateau? Will I do malignant things to my body? Please give me your advice. (I am sorry I havent posted any update pictures, its just that I dont consider this change to be that prominent.) Thank you all so much for your input (in advance).

kumty

(P.S: How do I update the damn ticker again? -_-)

this diet will slow down your metabolism, you will hit a plateau and you might do malignant things to your body like lose organ tissue. Read the recent thread on starvation. Your goal of losing 29 pounds in the next 23 days is just not healthy

Yeah, you should not have such a low daily intake of calories. It is not healthy for a 6ft2in male and it will not speed up your metabolism, in fact it will slow it down.

You must be careful that in your enthusiasm you don't do yourself a lot more damage than good.

I also suggest you set yourself some more realistic goals, as when you don't achieve 28 pound loss in 23 days, you will be disappointed.

I would suggest to bring your intake to a more realistic level. Increase your cardio sessions to 4 x 45minutes and also add a weights training day on top of that. This will ensure you burn the right tissue when you're exercise, where's now your body may be getting rid of lean tissue, water, and so on...

Thanks for the advice, but its is actually more like 60 days, I said by end of May. But that is still pretty intense, I know.
