Q: What do i do for excersize?

Hi Shawna! Thanks for your comments!
I go to the gym 4 - 5times a week for an hour to 2 depending on the day and my mood.

Here is a run down of what I do at the gym.

45 Cardio - 1 hour cardio
( 15 min tredmill, 15 min crossramp, 15 min stairs )
I alternate between different intensitys, resistance, and inclines. I try and aim for 450 - 500 calorie burn during that 45 minutes and a heart rate high in the ' cardio zone' about 70 - 90 % of my maximum heart rate.

20 - 40 Minutes weight training or abs.
Alternating back and forth I do 20 - 40 minutes with weights or pilates/ ab work outs.
I have a 14 machines that I use regularly in my weight training. I do one set of 8 - 12 reps. I increase my weights by 5 % weekly or bi weekly. If it gets to easy to complete a whole set I raise it up.

When I do abs/ pilates I use tools such as medicine balls, and resistance bands to make it more challenging. I will do a variety of ab excersizes in one ab work out but repeat them in order doing 12 reps of each and usually 3 sets of each but alternating.

Hope that made sense....

If you are wondering about my diet I try and aim for 1500 clean calories a day ( I avoid as much as possible) packaged foods and try and eat foods as close to their natural state as possible.

Hitting a bit of a pleatue right now but instead of give up I am going to push threw it! Increasing my cardio a couple minutes, enjoying 15 minute sauna to sweat out the stress and I am also trying to drink 3 cups of green tea to boost my matabloism and my energy!

Well I am off to the gym it is officialy 5PM which means its quitting time!
Have a good evening.
Amanda

Thanks Bexis

Some days i Have more motivation then others and believe me I do have moments where I wish I could eat whatever the hell I want. But then I remember that as people say nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. Such a great saying and so true.
Have you started your own blog?
You really should it is a great tool.
Well again it is 5pm and it is quitting time.
Hope to hear from you soon. Keep on losing !! Ha ha ha

JUne 2008

I am on a plateau! But I will conquer it! I also have realized I have not been as deprived of yummy food as I thought. I stopped writing in my food journal bad mistake. I still eat healthy but I have allowed myself to sample some sweets and other things that I shouldn't . I have lost probably a pound or two in the last 2 - 3 weeks. And to be honest I only have myself to blame. I am soo good about getting my workouts in, I work out 5 days a week for an hour to an hour and a half. The diet is where i stuggle I find it hard to get a good estimate of my calories in. I will be posting new pics shortly my camera is not working right now. Well I am off to the Gym. got a sore knee but I am going to try and have a great workout none the less.
Alright well I will post again soon!
Amanda
