Rep Power: 0 | | Hello New Here Hello All! I am new to this board and have more than 100 pounds to loose. I am currently 306 pounds but was much heavier than I am now. I weighed in at almost 400 pounds over a year ago. I thought it would be great to join somewhere where other have been where I am or are currently where I need to be. It's amazing how much support means when your trying to loose the weight! I don't consider my journey a diet I consider it a lifestyle change! If I were dieting I feel that once I stopped I'd gain the weight back. Where now if I continue with my new lifestyle I home to never be back at almost 400 pounds again. I currently wald 2-2.5 miles a day and am only allowed 1800-1900 calories a day. I buy lowfat and sugar free products and try to stay away from buffets like they are the plague! Lol I am also taking vitamins daily as suggested by my doc. If there's anything else you'd like to know please feel free to ask! I am also open to any advice and suggestions! Thanks Everyone!!! |

Thanks!
As long as you surround yourself with like minded people you will do well. You are more than welcome to drop by my diary any time you would like. It may not always be exciting reading, but it is real life. And lets face it that is what we need to deal with.
'Cuz in the long run if all we do is lose the weight but never face life then we will most likely be setting ourselves up for failure.
Good Luck!
My diary can be found here http://www.weight-loss.fitness.com/w...s-journey.html

Rep Power: 298705 | | Females have a tough time really bulking up - so don't feel like you need to stay with very light weights - you do want to challenge your muscles... (there's a thread or two around that discusses why females can't bulk up.. -- spend some time in the exercise forum.. we make learning fun

Rep Power: 0 | | NewB Hey, my name is Shawna and I JUST signed up. I've actually lost 20 pounds already but alas, I've hit another plateau. I actually used to weigh about 133 without trying...then a horrible breakup and stress later...I gained 30 pounds in one year without even realizing it. I'm down to 140. My biggest problem is that when I'm stressed out or upset I want to eat...everything. Now the good thing is that I've identified this behavior and am usually pretty good at realizing when I want to eat because I'm upset.
My second biggest problem is that I always feel way too tired to work out. I really like to run but I end up feeling so run down that I can't bring myself to do it. Any suggestions? I get soooooo tired in the afternoon that all I want to do is sleep. |

Rep Power: 87040 | | Welcome to the forum! Don't be afraid of the weights girl! Like Mal said, its hard for women to bulk up... Besides, you won't just wake up a bodybuilder one day lol! Muscle will help you burn fat and it takes up far less space! Congrats on your loss so far and again, welcome! And to Sahley and Ninhead, welcome to you as well! I suggest you all start a diary in the diary section! It will help you reach your goals and is a great way to make more friends here. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
