Question Will this plan help me lose weight? i need some opinions on this please

I just started a new diet this week that has me eat a protein, a starch and fruit or vegetable in every meal 3 times a day and I was wondering if this was a good guide/plan to help me lose 25 pounds? so far I havent lost anything and ive actually gained but i was wondering if thats because i used to only eat 700 calories a day and now im eating close to 1000-1200 and my body is just getting used to it. i run 2 hours a day so im still not even sure if im eating enough as i should. Do you think I should see an improvement in the scale by next week or should i start completely over with a new guide/plan? What do you think? please help...

700 calories is too low and 1000 calories is likely to be to low as well if you are running every day do you know what your resting metabolic rate is ? The protein is used to build and repair muscle so the weight you have gained is likely to be muscle which will help you loose more weight in the long run.

how much water are you drinking ?

here is a link to an online calculator for RMR

my RMR approx. 1722 Calories per day so idealy i should be eating about 1464 calories per day to loose weight but i fall short more often than not.

i just calculated my RMR and it says I need 1430 calories, so to lose weight, you are supposed to subtract 500, right? that is 950 calories to consume , regardless of exercise?????
