Hi Becky,
Again, welcome to the WLF and to having your own diary

This truly is a great place to find support.

Congratulations on the weight you've lost so far! Sometimes, losing that much in the first month does WONDERS for our motivation - nothing spurs success quite like success

You'll figure out your calories - give yourself the time to work it through. Realize, that you'll have to find a way to live/eat that can work long term - this isn't something you do until you get to a certain weight, but it's something you'll be doing for the rest of your life - so in order to not be my age and trying to get weight off, learning how to live with and manage your intake now is invaluable!!

Have you checked out FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal or Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople ? Both are free sites for tracking calories, nutrition and fitness.

You said a couple of things I wanted to comment on...
Quote:
My family and boyfriend say they're proud if I lose weight, but they don't help me get there. They eat junk foods that I want to eat in front of me. It's hard, and I've talked to them about it. Only time will tell if they will support me.
It's hard not to see this as 'them not being supportive' but in actuallity, I think this is them being the them they've always been. (At least that's how it's been in my house.) My husband is not being insensitive when he goes to a fast food place, he's just doing what he's always done - I've been the one to change - and because it's a change I am freely making and proud that I've made it, I don't let it bother me what he's eating.

Quote:
It's gonna be difficult for me to eat and not feel guilty, but boy will I love eating more. I've been starving!
Don't let guilt fuel your choices - guilt is entirely over rated. It's hard to eat so little because your body is telling you you need more food!

You'll figure this all out - just be kind to yourself - losing weight is a slow process - but it is DOABLE
