im not dissing his weight loss, i think he looks so much better. however imo i think colonics at least regularly can do no good. i am a nurse and have had to do these in the past for bowel prep prior to surgery. thats different. first of all your body has its own good bacteria, which helps protects against disease and such, surely by washing them all away, you are leaving yourself open to infection etc. second as someone as already mentioned, by interfering with your regular habits, i think you are going to run into problems with being able to go normally and will require more and more artificial help if you know what i mean. i see it myself in my line of work.
quite a gross subject really, one for the dinner table i think. you can always tell who works in the health environment, by bringing up something like this. i can quite happily discuss all sorts of "bodily functions" and worse whilst munching, all my none health worker friends freak out and say stop. slim

Responding to the original topic, think of it this way.

If you got all the excrement inside of you thoroughly flushed out (and each person is said to carry an average of 7 to 8lbs of crap inside of them at a time), then of course you'd lose 10lbs in 2 days..

It's essential to look beyond the hype and focus on safer, healthier, and more long term ways on losing weight.. As has already been mentioned, there are bound to be negative side effects to resorting to such an action when the body does it all on its own...
