Help on my routine

I Joined the gym Last friday. Prior to joining the gym, i was working out at home only using my treadmill or walking. I have hit a plateau, which made me join the gym. My trainer had told me that i was wasting my time using my treadmill, because i wasnt getting my heart rate up and was burning my lean muscle instead of fat. I was lacking resistance training.

Soo.... Here is my new workout routine that he gave me and said i should do it 3x a week. Its a 30minute workout.

Lower Body:
Dumbell Squats 15x
Ab crunch 15x
Jumprope 1 minute
Lunges 15x
Reverse Crunch 15x
Jump rope 1 minute

Upper body:
Cable row - 15x
Pushups - 10x
Cable row - 15x
Push ups 8x

Now my problem. I think this is way too much for me doing it 3x a week. It has been 4 days now since i did this routine and i still cant walk!

My whole week routine looks like this

Monday - Resistance
Tuesday - Cardio
Wednesday - Resistance
Thursday - Cardio
Friday- Resistance

Is this too much or does it sound ok? I dont want to over do it.

One more question. How long should i do cardio on those 2 days? and which machines at the gym is really effective?

Thanks,
Jo
