Question Indoor Exercise When It's Hot

I prefer exercising indoors year-round, and (unfortunately) don't have air conditioning in my house.

I've struggled for more than a few years with trying to maintain a regular exercise routine, and before that - didn't exercise at all.

The problem is that I tend to quit exercising entirely when it's hot in the summer, simply because it's just too uncomfortably warm to exercise at home. I prefer to exercise at night, so if it would just cool down in the evening there'd be no problem, but that doesn't happen til fall.

I've never been "fit" in the sense that I've had any true definition in my body, but am not overweight. Since I struggle with trying to exercise regularly, it's really disappointing that any progress I've made in endurance and repetitions is lost during the few months over the summer that I can't exercise. It's also difficult to get motivated again after not exercising for so long.

Please do not suggest that I exercise outdoors - some people just aren't into doing outdoor activities and exercise on a daily basis.

Any suggestions on safe and effective indoor exercises for hot/humid weather would be much appreciated!
