THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: "When did my wild oats become shredded wheat?"
*sigh* Well, weigh in did not go EXACTLY as I had hoped, since I am only down .5 of a
pound! A lousy half
pound! However, I must admit that weigh in was actually at 7:30
pm - who is lighter at THAT time of night? LOL So my lesson was never to go to a night meeting again! LOL Had to due to work this week, but will make alternate arrangements next time. I refuse to move my ticker until I am down at least a whole
pound
In the meantime, last night after weigh in, I went out and had my orientation AT A
GYM!!! I can hardly believe it. The place smelled like sweat and they were playing my fave 80s tunes. I thought I would die by the end of orientation. It is a circuit thing but you have to adjust the
weights, etc.
I found it generally VERY CONFUSING and somewhat overwhelming, but the reason I am going to be going is that my Mom goes several times a week - and if SHE can do it, so can I LOL. She is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, so she had to go through orientation several times to "get" all the stuff to do with the equipment. She is such an inspiration to me. I love her with all my heart. She is 68 years young and just this summer was the recipient of Canada's
Governor General's Award for all of her work in our city! Who wouldn't be proud to have such a Mom?
So, regardless of what the scale says (or doesn't say), I am committed to continuing on with my
weight loss/health gain journey, as long as it takes and as far as it takes me!
Cheers to us.
