| I have rewarded myself with a magazine subscription for sticking with a schedule of working out for a certain period of time (it was Women's Health or SELF I believe - something to add encouragement). I also had a bowl with a bunch of those river rocks in it & a jar beside it. For every 30 minutes I worked out I would move a rock over. Then at the end of the month I would "cash" in my rocks. It was like a dollar a rock or something & I could spend it on a new book, cd, clothes something to treat myself without feeling guilty. Haven't done it in a while but it helped me get going motivation wise.
Another thing I did once was to buy a big pillar candle & lit it when I got on the treadmill then blow it out when I got off. The idea was that I would treat myself when I got to the end of it with something special, but I forgot about it. Might have to start lighting that candle again!
