Curiosity killed the cat, yet I still do it every morning.
Daily weighing makes you aware of the normal fluctuations but also shows upward and downward trends based on our eating habits. We know that we will weigh more the morning after a bad day of eating so we should expect that the scale should be fluctuating upwards, and we know if we want to see the scale trend lower we need to be good with our eating. Very often the fluctuations have no rhyme or reason, but just as often they are highly reflective of our eating over the prior day or two. We know we can quickly get off weight that's just gone up from a bad day or two, but on the other hand, when the weight is not quickly going back down then we know its sticking and we need to get serious. I use the scale as a wake-up call / reality check
