You are so right on the losing it slow thing.
All the other times before that I tried to lose weight always failed for the very reasons that you listed. I would have a huge loss the first few weeks, (I was practically starving myself ), and then the losses would go steady, (I started eating enough calories to survive again ) and then BAM! it would start going up again (getting discouraged because the weight stopped coming off so fast so went back to old habits ). But not this time. It's weird this time around. I guess you could say that I had an epiphany of sorts. I knew that I was over-weight and that I needed to do something about it but wasn't all that ready too. Then one day I was ready and that is where I started from.
Congrats on you for taking it slow and winning the race as well.

Stay strong Bell!!! you can do it. The first step is to know it's going to take hard work, and that a healthy weight loss is about 1-3lbs a week.

After my 215 to 170 transformation I have been at somewhat a wall. I hit 170 about Thanksgiving, and since then I am down to 167. I am gettign closer to my natural weight. I am 5'10-5'11 and have a broad skeleton. I think anythign lower than 160 is too skinny for me.

Sorry for posting so much. That last paragraph caught my attention and brought up all sorts of memories
