Hey there icebunny....

I think it's normal for you to feel this way and I think that it's not uncommon and that most people struggle with this exact issue from time to time. I know I have. I think it happens to me most when I'm bored and it has helped some to try to find something to do away from the kitchen to help keep my mind off of food and eating. A lot of times when I get to feeling like all I want to do is eat and all I can think about is food I get online and play cribbage or gin in Yahoo, surf the net for motivational weight loss quotes and stories, and now I find myself coming here a lot. It really is helpful because it does help to keep your mind off of food and you also can obtain some great support and motivation.

You may also try to look at reputable healthy websites to help you remember why you want to lose weight. These types of activites always seem to help me. A lot of people say to go for a walk when you can't get your mind off of food and that IS a great idea....but sometimes I lack the ambition. So, getting online is a good alternative when my get up and go has gotten up and left.
