Hello Tammy.
Welcome to the board. I am also new to this forum and am just starting on the difficult path to get healthy. I agree with you that taking slow might be a good idea, I have found that tackling different health problems one by one is alot easier than just completely changing lifestyles which might throw the
body into a complete state of shock.
If you can get your husband to join you I can imagine it will be alot easier getting through it for both of you when you have each others support and comfort along the way. I know at least for me, it will be alot easier going through the exercised and staying faithful to diets if I had a partner to keep me in check. If I was in your place I will probably try to let him feel that the only way I can go through it is with him, so good luck with that.
Night time eating is also one of my problems. I find myself eating minutes before I sleep quite often. I have also noticed that when I eat late at night that I am more likely to have a larger apetite and more of a chance to overeat during the next day. I have found that drinking tea about half an hour before I usually eat at night helps me control my apetite and I can go to sleep with an empty stomach alot easier. Not sure if it will work for you, but I suppose it is worth a try.
Good luck on your
weight loss and hopefully we will hear from you again.
Matt
