Well, I do not count calories unless I am afraid I am too low (or too high), I just think if I have eaten "nothing wrong" and I feel satisfied but not terribly full and uncomfortable, then I should be fine.
Today I had 2 (or 3?) people tell me I eat too little.Which may be, I didn't even look at it so much, I was just eating what I needed (in fact never felt hungry one bit!). I think of the starvation mode with a grain of salt... I mean sure if you eat nothing your body will slow down (but then I think wait! What about anorexics? My ballet class is full of people who never eat and dance all day and their metabolism seems fine and they are not fat and yucky and lie around like slugs, which tells me, they are either not in starvation mode, or starvation mode is just not as straight forward as people make us believe).
But I see what you eat, and I see a normal menu. I think maybe you are counting wrong, because when I eat nothing but fruit I get to about 1100 cals, so I think it would be difficult to be at 1100 when you ate eggs and bacon and stuff...
Just for you to think about. If it works for you, I would go by my tummy. If it is full and happy then it is not starving!
Greets, Camy
