I've just joined and I feel as though I have a mountain to climb - 195lbs to lose. I've had a weight problem all my life but it went stratospheric about three years ago when I became self employed (I'm a freelance journalist from London). I didn't realise that the nightmare commute into the middle of the city was the only thing keeping me moving. Three years of staying at home behind a computer is not healthy and I've piled on the weight, so I need to try and deal with it for once and for all. To start off with, I'm trying to lose it by eating sensibly, rather than following a particular
diet. If that doesn't work, I may have to resort to other measures!
