Calories burnt when running

I have been lurking for a few weeks, and finally have a question.

I have lost 9kg (20lb) since 01 Jan (so 3 months) and have been steadily increasing the amount of exercise I do.
I now weigh 72kg (159lb) , height 171cm (5" 7)

I do shorter runs regularly, and once a week do a long run where I want to know how many calories I am burning.

I run for 100 minutes, a distance of 18km (11 miles) so I figure this is 1100 calories approx. Can anyone give me a more scientific answer?

Thanks,
WideBoy
