What kind of tires do you use on your bike?

Have you tried getting tires with thicker tread and heavier/thicker tubes?

I think that the number of spokes your tires have can relate to their weight limit. But I'm unsure if that has to do with getting flat tires or if it is related to bending the frame.

As for your second question. I'm not a runner, but I believe that riding a bike would cause more stress on your knees rather than your ankles.
