Hmm, I hadn't thought of this. I mean, what's it matter if I refuse to go higher than my offer there's nothing to negotiate so do I really need a buyer's agent?
And if I got a buyer's agent, aren't I paying for not only him/her but also the seller's agent in the price of the house?
I'm ignorant as hell with this stuff simply b/c I bought my first house (the one I'm currently in) from family.

Nasty story that happened a couple of days ago here about 40min from me: a disgruntled former client was pissed at his realtor b/c his house was now worth $5K less than what he paid for it 2yrs ago. Yeah, like he's the only one in that position these days--he's lucky it's not worse than that..lol. It WAS worth that much 2yrs ago most likely. Anyway, the former client--a 73-yr-old man walked into the realtor's office and shot him point blank in the head, killing him. He was only 33 and left behind a wife and 4 kids.
