I love these infomercials. They are hilarious. Everything is ".. they don't want you to know about." Who are they? Really. Its on all the time though, so that means people buy it.
I really, really do not understand that. One book had the
cure for cancer. I shit you not.
I wish people still did tar and feathering, cause these guys would be the perfect candidates. What kind of person preys on people dying of, or watching loved ones, die of cancer. People get desperate and will try anything. Its sad that someone would take advantage of that.
I don't understand the crazy aspects of these. They could just write a book that tells people to restrict themselves to a ridiculously low calorie count while taking suppliments. Still BS, but its not something they can get sued for, and they could continue to make crazy claims. You could eat anything you wanted, if it was below your caloric limit. You would lose weight with no exercise.
Something I dont understand is how people fall for these things. I've bought some crazy exercise stuff while intoxicated, and almost bought a vacuum once (in my defense I had used the vaccuum previously and it was an awesome deal for 2, like 40 dollars + s&h -- luckily my phone wasn't within arm distance so I gave up) but books like this are obviously no help.
Is it because I grew up with the internet and so my bullshit detector is set to high? I understand its desperate people they are marketing their products towards, so its easier. Still, I find it amazing how they can afford to run the ads 24/7.
Thats A lot of books.
