Unhappy Help!!!!

I was doing so well. I lost over 165 lbs in the past 2 years, but I am starting to feel like I am failing. I have so much stress in my life. Going to school 4 nights a week, working 50 hours a week, and no support at home. I started my bad habit of not eating all day and binging when I get home at night. I have not excercised in almost a week. I got on the scale tis morning and I have put 7 pounds back on. Theses bad habits got me to my highest weight of 399 lbs. I am so scared I am on my way there again. Any encouragement and advice will so greatly be appreciated.

I have the problem of binging at night too. Try to take gronola bars, fruits, or make mini-meals to take with you while you are on the go. Try to get in some kind of exercise in the am or lunch or between school and work, even if it is a little it will help. Stay possitive you can do it. You came this far. Way to go!

Just remember you're recognizing the bad habits this time. I agree with Rachels make food that you can take on the go or eat in the car, sandwiches can be easily eaten in the car and fulfilling as well. Stay positive we're all here to support you. You can do it, we believe in you.

It's great that you've gotten here before you're back to where you started. Snacks on the go is a great idea. I buy things to make trail mix at a bulk food store and mix it all together and put it into little snack bags. I'm on the go all the time too so I know what you mean. I recommend exercising first thing when you get up. Even if you're tired just do it, you won't regret it and it will give you more energy during the day.

Boy, it does sound like you have a stressful life! I "feel your pain!" It is so hard to work full time AND go to school. And I'm gonna guess you have a family, too! No wonder! If you aren't getting support from home, log on here and we'll be your support system. We want you to succeed.

Do you find yourself eating just to calm yourself down? I know when I was working way too much I found myself eating just to slow myself down. I also found that I never felt like I "ate" (table, plate, chewing... that sort of "eating") although I was filling myself by speed grazing. Then when I did get to "eat" a meal I would over indulge.

It helped when I stopped grazing and paid attention to how much I really was eating. And just knowing that I needed some "calming" did a lot to stop that bad habit.

I also found that I was rewarding myself with food beause I did feel so overworked and underappreciated. Again, just knowing that I wanted to reward my expanding butt with more chocolate made a difference in curbing that habit.

Thanks for letting me have a little "therapy session" here. No, really, good luck. Let us know how you are doing!

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I finally feel as though I am getting the suppport that I need. I think my biggest problem is, that when I eat something that I know I shouldn't I basically just say to myself," Oh well I have blown it for the day, I might as well eat what I want." I literally "pig" out sometimes, and I am not even hungry half the time. But, I just keep eating. As for the excercise, I wake up at 2:45 am and I am out the door by 4:00 am. Not returning home until atleast 7 pm. By then, I am ready for bed. This is sad, I am in my twenties living the life of a much older person physically and mentally. As for the weekends, there is a house to clean and school work to do. I wanna scream!!! Okay, I have vented. It feels so good to have someplace to go where I can vent my frustrations. Thank you all so much again for your support.

Vent away! That's what we are here for! Have you started a diary in the diary section?
