[quote=Fifty2drop;499407] goodluck and may water and loo's be close by../QUOTE]

Ha...had to laugh at that comment Fifty2Drop.....so true!! I work in a job where I can't go to the toilet whenever I want to...and so my pelvic floor muscles have become very strong!!!

Well, it's five weeks tomorrow since I began (again!)....have lost 5.9 kgs....not too bad considering how many times I've 'fallen off the wagon'....have had way too many social functions on (every weekend), so I am quite pleased that I have actually lost anything at all!! Much less than last time I did Cohen's though - I averaged 7-10 a month....
Am vowing to be very good though from now on....and have promised myself that I won't try on my dress until I am 70kgs....
Wth the warmer weather now upon us though I have pulled down my 'skinny clothes' bag from my wardrobe - and am delighted that I can yet again fit into a few pairs of pants I haven't worn for a long time!

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well - just think of how great we'll all be looking when Summer is finally here!!

Look forward to hearing any replies!

Tasha

Well as you can see its a hive of activity around here..

A big congrats for your upcoming wedding.. how exciting for you, and so close too. you'll have to tell us all about it..

Skinny clothes bag, wow, i bet that feels great slipping into some skinny pants. I have been fat too long i only have the 'not so fat' clothes bag.. he he he but i will thoroughly enjoy getting to thi for them and buying some new clothes over the next couple of months.

5.9 kg is a good achievement for the bride to be, i'm sure you will reach your goal in no time.

As you may have read i am trying to lose weight for my bf's wedding next year, so i log on here regularly it helps me keep my mind on the goal (and not the food in my pantry..).

My kids sleepover snacks and nibbles smelt awfully delicious. so here i am reassuring myself i can do this and why.. also there's leftovers and im trying to assert my cohens power over them.... She-ra eat your heart out...

Well i best be off, i have an early morning. but will check in tomorrow.

I wish you all the best on your cohens and hope to chat to you again soon.

Chelle

hi , i have been on cohens since jan 08 weighing in at 98kgs i weighed in at 68kgs yesterday which for me is nothing short of a blooming miracle, before cohens i had tried and failed at every diet known to man and the only thing in my home that was not low fat was me, and yes i have not followed 100% which i am annoyed with myself for but am not far of refeed and will make it , so ive stopped kicking my own butt and am well and truly back on track , the clothes shopping is great but i should have stuck to op shops as i now have some lovely bits that are now too big ,,bummer ,

Wink Fantastic

WOW... 68kgs thats an amazing 30 kgs, how are you feeling?
I understand how hard it can be.
You have done wonderful, keep up the hard work you'll be at your goal weight in no time..
Feel good about your achievement.

I hear you loud and clear about being the only high fat item in your house... My daughter would send me broke if she could use a credit card, if she see's an ad on t.v its for me and i should get that.... a couple of times i even heard her introduce me as her fat mother !!!!
On the clothes, op shopping sounds like a very smart and affordable option.. At the mo i am just on clothes safari's, sightseeing only, no culling of the bank balance. I still have to reach my first goal of 99kgs and then be to small for everything in my draws

I hope we hear from you again and remember to feel good about your weight loss and progress so far.

good luck
Chelle

Tasha- You have done well to lose the weight you have with deviations so I can imagine how quickly you will lose the rest if you stick to plan 100%. How exciting that will be to be in skinny clothes for Summer! I wish I had a bag full of skinny clothes up on top of my cupboard. Mine would have been from the 70's(that's 1970's!).Probably back in fashion!
Chelle- You are doing a great job of encouraging others & providing great support. Good for you! When I first started on Cohen's I felt like a religious convert. I still do! Isn't it great to find something that works. I hear you about the "fat' mum. I had been fat for so long that's how I saw myself, let alone how others saw me(I don't want to think about that) Cohen's does wonders for your self-esteem and resisting temptation along the way makes you feel a stronger person and helps you become that stronger person. The sense of achievement when you reach goal is priceless!
Jenark- Congratulations on losing 30kgs! Well done. Don't beat yourself up over not being 100%. Concentrate on the positives. That's fantastic. Make sure you are deviation free for at least 2 weeks before re-feed and then follow it to the letter. I think it's a key to being able to maintain equilibrium when you finish. I now wish I had got to the bottom of my goal weight range before I started re-feed as most people I know settle up 2-3kgs after about 6 months(including me). That's why they give us that 3kg buffer zone I guess.
I can now look at my body and see about 2-3kgs of fat at the top of each leg. I can't believe I am being so picky after being so huge for so long but...... Going back on program 100% after finishing over a year ago to get rid of that fat is so much harder than it should be so I highly recommend doing it now.
It's great to see some activity in here. Spring has arrived. We can't hide behind our Winter clothes any more. I won't be wearing shorts unless I shift about 6kgs so here goes............
Cheers, Cate

Someone, somewhere asked how much water we should drink. I have understood that for every 25kgs we weigh we should drink 1 litre of water. I was told to drink btn 2-3litres a day whilst on the program but drank more than that. I now drink btn 2-3 litres, cheers, Cate.

Hi,
Just a quick question...What is the vitamin that helps with skin elasticity?? Is it Chromium?? I think i'll start double dosing on it to make sure the skin is at its best for our trip away!!

Thanks

Can anyone help???

Hi Everyone,

I've been a long time reader of this forum and find everyone here such an inspiration and great support. I'm now on Cohen's for the 3rd time after 2 attempts in the past (and $1,400 paid for 2 plans), the last time I was pulled off the diet by my doctor due to some very strange blood test results (it turned out they were caused by the pill!). At that time my clinic said they would not give me my refeed early.

I continued to have my blood tests even while off the diet so I could go back on and finish properly only to be told by my clinic that I had been off the diet for too long and to get my refeed I had to pay another $700!!!

I have now been back on for 9 weeks and I am going well so far but I am using my previous plan. I'm getting married in 10 weeks and I need to finish the diet properly this time so I don't put on the weight that I've worked so hard to lose while I'm on our honeymoon and afterwards.

I'm hoping that someone will be kind enough to PM me and will be willing to share their refeed and maintenance guidelines with me.

Thanks in advance

Blula

Hello Blula

I have not done refeed so am very sorry i cannot be of assistance.. I do believe that they introduce lamb and pork, extra seafood, sweet fruits(berries etc) extra veg, more carbs and increasing weights also if you put weight on and it doesnt move after three attempts at a particular meal weight range that is your desired meal size. but that is just rough account and as you know its different for every one. for example many people here have 3 fruits, i only had two on my program.
Dont let this put you off, post your weight loss journey and i suggest you read cates diary she has posted some very helpful info whilst doing her own cohens journey.

i wish you all the very best, and while you havent got a refeed just remember to watch what and how much you eat.. and drink water water water.

Chelle

A big hi & just as big a welcome to anyone cruising about the Cohen's section of this excellent forum. Share your experiences, either good or bad. Feel free to vent your frustrations as well. Are you doing Cohen's & breezing through it, seeing the fat melt away or are you finding it tough?
For those contemplating doing the program it works. It's strict but it works! A lot, like me, like the strictness. Some don't. If it's not in the program you don't have it. It's black & white and not open to interpretation. Follow the program 100% and you can kiss that fat good-bye! Cheers, Cate.

Unhappy Just a Question????

I'm just curious... I keep reading that the Cohen's website has recipes....

Now my question is.. Is that true and if so how do I access them because every time Ive looked for them I get......

"The recipes will soon be available in the member's area (coming soon...)."

?????????????

Hi CMC & welcome to the forum. The site must be being up-dated. When I did Cohen's I was given some recipes by my consultant & needed to look up the website to obtain a wider variety of recipes. Now apparently new clients are given a recipe book so there is no longer such a need for recipes on the site. Weights were never included of anything as these vary according to each individual's plan. Cheers, Cate.
