When I started losing weight, I had exactly 150 lbs to lose - no easy task when you're looking at the big picture. I have to agree with everyone that you have to take it 10lbs at a time. I also do the 10% rule...meaning once I lose 10% of my body weight, I have a little celebration and buy something nice for myself. I have about 10lbs left till my 20% goal and those are big motivators because they say that even losing just 5-10% of your body weight dramatically decreases your chances of all the ill health effects that go along with being overweight or obese.
