LA Weight Loss Centers Closing

They have closed a few centers in my area. I heard that Corporate had bought back some centers that were franchises. My guess is that they probably closed the less profitable ones.

They're closing. Why? Because it's a scam!

The "counselors" are not nutritionists. They are businesspeople. They are trained to sell you LA Lites.

I was diagnosed with PCOS while on LAWL. They had NO IDEA how to work with my new medical needs and kept trying to sell me LA Lites despite the fact that I was supposed to reduce sugar and carbs due to the PCOS. They had no idea how to alter the diet plan for my needs.

They also had almost no knowledge of how to provide a healthy plan for a vegetarian.

I am glad they closed. They are horrible.

Then, I cut out all the nutritional information from their packages and took it to the grocery store to match as best I could with products on the market. Bascially their LA bars are very similar to Luna Bars. So I started using those, just don't tell them they will insist they aren't the same thing. I started taking a multi-vitamin supplement and Omega-3. I didn't believe I needed the other things they try to sell. I still lost weight.
I did the same and also found the Luna Bars to be very similar. I really liked the LA program, I found it to be very helpful in helping me learn how to eat balance, healthy meals. I did like the bars, especially the double fudge, they were not only fillling, but seemed to give me energy. I had to stop for financial reasons. If you choose not to go with the bars, they give you a program with an extra protein and starch(don't quote me on that). I also made a vegetable soup that helped me stay full.

The plan is a good one. Some are pushy about buying the bars, mine was very pushy, but I never bought them in bulk. Its worth a try, with or without the food products. It is a good program, imo.

Good Luck! I am going to try the program again on my own. I have 50 lbs. to lose, but really just want to feel good again (you know, less aches on the feet and knees, get my breath back, and look good).

I think the main thing, is to watch your portions and read the calorie content of whatever you are going to eat. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet and incorporate some exercise. It doesn't have to be hours at the gym, just a little more motion than you are doing now. do things gradually and you will feel better and start to lose a few pounds. It does help to keep a journal of all that you consume and you will really be amazed at how much food you eat!
