Don't look at your plan as a temporary thing---see it as a way to eat for life. Where are the protein and whole grains? Healthy (poly- and monounsaturated fats) and Omega 3's are also important to good health. I would add in some whole-grains, like wheat bread, brown rice, or whole-wheat pasta, and some lean protein sources, like chicken, salmon, or vegetarian meat-replacements. Also consider nutrients like calcium and iron. Hope I helped!
I see a lot of people on these forums eating fruits for lunch. Why not have something like chicken breast, or cooked meat, or some rice, or cooked veggies, or fish etc? Too much fruit in one day is not too great for diet since it has too much sugar in it. Meat in general is not bad for a diet its mostly what people eat with it that has a great impact on calorie intake. I never add anything to my meat when I eat it (no cheese, souse, bread etc) just some salad or raw veggies and thats it. I eat fruits for snack or dinner.
I'm with Casey, it is missing a lot of important nutrients.
There is very little protien in this plan. If you are going to get it from beans you need more than one cup a day. I eat 4 to 5 cups of beans a day.
One egg (sunnyside) is 1) not enough food and 2) dangerous, you can get salmonela.
Why don't you have oatmeal and a banana for breakfast. Sprinkle some wheat germ and or flax seed on the oatmeal.
Snack a piece of fruit or 2.
Lunch a salad with lots of Dark leafy greens with loads of beans and other fresh raw colorful veggies. Sprinkle on this some Nutritional yeast as with no meat in your diet, you will be deficient in B12.
Snack. Some hummus with raw veggies
Dinner. More dark leafy greens with assorted veggies. beans or tofu. Brown rice.
If you are going the more vegetarian route, you really need to up your intake of veggies. They are very low in calories so you will need a lot of them. I was struggling to get over 1500 a day. Skip the snacks of oatmeal, eat more fruit or veggies instead. Eat complex carbs, brown rice, real wheat bread (not that fake fluffy stuff), ww pita, ww pasta. You can have some and not over do it.
When I added complex carbs back into my diet after my detox my weight started to fall off.
