This is a short-term diet that is low in calories. Quote: |
Carbs are important for the body's energy, and should make up.....(random guess) 30% of daily calories?
| One objective of this diet is to eat no carbs and be in ketosis. |

One objective of this diet is to eat no carbs and be in ketosis. | Ketosis sounds like it hurts.
Also I have an article that got scanned out of the prevention magazine. It's 3 scanned pages long. Would you be interested in reviewing it for me?

Rep Power: 9923 | | | Yeah, I don't know WHY you might be plateaued...but I broke mine by eating cookie dough, obviously. Went from stuck at 170 and doing everything right to eating chocolate chip cookie dough on Saturday and lost five pounds.
Maybe you should try that?
(Disclaimer: The opinions expressed in this post have absolutely no medical or logical reasoning behind them. In fact they make no sense at all, and come from a rambling mind that had coffee this morning. Nevermind.)

Not so much the whole mockery of it or anything, but purely because Mal assumed it was a mockery at first (correctly) then Steve retorted with a somewhat ambiguous reply, and then Mal fell for it and got serious (incorrectly)... only later to realize he was actually making a mockery of it all in the first place and her original assumption was indeed correct.
In other words... Mal got played. |

Actually, so far ketosis isn't affecting me much. I just miss carbs. Quote: |

This thread was more of a joke than anything. I'm actually not concerned. Although, I thought I was taking in somewhere around 1300-1400 calories per day and I just inputted my intake into fitday and it's much higher.... something like 1850.
I mean, even at 1850, that should be a pretty nice sized deficit for me. But not near the deficit I planned on. However, I'm following the diet to a 'T' from Lyle McDonald and making sure I get adequate protein and essential fats in per his recommendations leaves me at 1850 calories.
I'm communicating with him as we speak but he's pretty much telling me I'm being stupid.... if I'm following what the protocol says, stop worrying. |

And maybe to make more sense of it. I was supposed to read it myself but I'm not sure if I think it's worth it to "go there" I will PM you the links and you can decide what you want to do with them.

Also I'm asking because certain peoples were trying to push this information on me, but I was feeling kind of skeptical, so I wanted an outside source.
