Hey,
I would like to welcome you to this forum. These people are a BIG help to people like you and me who want to change their lives for the good and become fit. They have been a tremendous resource, both in terms of advice and motivation, in helping me lose weight. All you have to do is have a set
goal, a concrete
goal, ask questions, follow advice and throw in some of your input as well. This has helped me tremendously so far!! I started in mid January at around 235
pounds, the same height (almost) as you, and now I stand at 199
pounds (-1, maybe) and I am on the way to losing an additional 27-29
pounds by the end of this May. Now although my regime is VERY intense at the moment, I would not recommend that you do this for the TIME BEING. Now, I recommend that you cut
calories by around 600 (don't eat 600) and run everyday for around 25 minutes (no stopping, just give it your full effort, take your favorite tunes with you as well in order to make the time pass by) and slowly increase your activity level. After losing the first 25 or so
pounds, I recommend joining the nearest
Gym; (i.e:- YMCA, Golds
Gym, Bally or whatever- have -you) For me this was the only way to avoid a plateau and start really getting into gear and losing those additional
pounds. And last but not least, keep faith in yourself, have a high sense of self esteem and determination, and NEVER, EVER give up. Just keep at it, and you will see results within two months time. People don't start noticing in earnest until three months, and especially in Indian families, (kya haalchaal hai bhai?) they are a bit worries/jealous/confused as to why you are dropping
pounds. That is my two rupees. Wish you Best of LUCK. Oh- STOP eating Taco Bell for crissakes; they even use beef oil in some of their non-beef products. (I know you are a hindu -_-) Have a good time dropping
pounds!!
