Can someone help me understand how your body uses calories? The way I see it I'm fat because I have a lot of stored calories that I need burn off. But how can I accelerated the process if I eat the same amount of calories the next day? I'm male 6 feet 1 and 205. I used to have a habit of eating almost ALL THE TIME. I'm trying to control the amount of calories I consume in a day. Basically I'm asking what do I need for my daily bodily functions so I can exercise all the stored calories off? Or is it just healthier to eat the same amount I'm used to eating? I think my daily intake is too high and sometimes it's hard to keep track because some foods are packed with calories and some don't.
Sorry I have too many questions but I'm basically asking what should be my minimum daily calorie intake so my body burns up the stored fat also while I'm exercising.

I'm sure others can help you, but since we are almost the same height and I was almost the same weight (200) I can tell you that in order to lose the weight I had to eat 1800 calories a day.
What is your current calorie intake?
