Rep Power: 0 | | | Help me... I'm 6 foot 4 and used to weigh 265 about 9 months ago now i weigh 200 and from 265-210 basically all i did was cut calorie intake and starve myself, from about 3-4k cal to 1.5k cals
now I have a diet planned out, I run a mile everyday *trying for 2* and i do weights and abs once in morning, once in middle of day, once at night. Everyone tells me to let my body rest, but i don't do a day of rest. basically if i try to work something and it hurts, i don't work it.
but many people don't think my diet is "healthy" calorie wise. I eat the same things everyday basically. I also try to eat throughout the day *snacks* so as to keep constant energy.
Breakfast: Bowl of multigrain cheerios and little nonfat milk. 175 calories
Snack: Usually a banana and maybe a small bit of peanut butter, but recently i discovered i love apples, so 2 apples nowadays. 200 calories
Lunch: My own sammich. 2 whole wheat slices, sweet hot mustard, and 3/4 serving of honey Ham and 3/4 serving of smoked Turkey slices. I'm aiming to cut out the Ham and go with chicken slices. 275 calories.
Snack: Mixed vegetables *carrots, peas, corn, green beans* and herbs and spices and a dash of garlic powder and maybe some soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. 150 calories
Dinner: 1 lean cousine, or weight watcher dinner, or healthy choice dinner, or smart choice dinner, whatever i'm in mood for. 290-370 Calories.
Desert: every so often i'll have 1 healthy choice frozen chocolate bar. 100 Calories.
Total: ~ 1250 Calories, probably less because i aim for less in my servings then more.
I feal fine, but people insist on my weight and height that it isnt enough. plus i exercise and lift weights etc.
Also if this helps any i drink 1 gallon of water a day, i'm aiming for more maybe 1 1/2 gallons, i've always drunk a lot of water, but i don't pee that often, and if i do it really isn't that much.
also i poo probably once every 4 days if anything. been doing that all my life, sounds bad, i know.
But here's the problem. I'm stuck at 200 and i'm basically losing motivation. I hardly get my self to run *still do* and i hardly workout as long or as hard as i used to. I also cannot do as much. It litteraly seems like my body just agve up at trying to lose weight and i dont want to anymore.
i think why i'm losing motivation is i'm not seeing results since i've been stuck for a week or 2 now.
also what pisses me off is i have these really skinny friends that everyone says look hot. and i calculated what they eat a day and it is around 3k calories. they dont run or workout or exercise at all. yet here i am working my ass off.
any help or anything i can do to get unstuck? i'm forcing myself to run 2 miles a day now and trying to increase how many abs and weights i do a little each day or few days. |

If you want to have enough energy to do your workouts, you have to fuel the body before you try to extract that energy. Add stuff like nuts, all natural peanut butter, yogurt, berries, good healthy foods that will give you protein and energy and, yes, fats. Your body is telling you that there just isn’t enough to do what you want of it. Also, by eating the same thing every day, you will get bored with it. That is happening now. Eventually you will get fed up and quit the whole thing and gain back to right where you were. It isn’t an all or nothing thing. Make the change permanent by making it doable.

how can i double my calorie intake AND NOT gain back the weight | Do it incrementally. Don’t eat crazy. Add a bit throughout the day. At least get 1800-2000 to start

how can i double my calorie intake AND NOT gain back the weight | you won't gain all the weight back over night...
gradually add back in the calories -in a sensible manner... like in 300-500 increments ech day -
for instance last week you say you were doing 1200 each day
this week do 1500 each day
then next week do 1800 each day
the following week - 2100 each day
gradually add them back in...
there will be a slight shift in your weight but doesn't mean that you've gained fat..
and as austin said in this trhead and I said in antoher thread (by the wway, there's no reason to post multiple trehads on the same topic - people will read... ) read the stickied threads -there's much information that you need

Rep Power: 32708 | | If I could also make a suggestion, use a calorie counter like CalorieKing - Diet and weight loss. Calorie Counter and more. or FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and log every last thing that passes your lips for a few days or a week. Don't forget any drinks, powerbars or protein shakes you take. Also don't forget when you eat just a couple of "these" or just a little bit of "that". It's important to be honest with yourself and log everything to see if you're really getting the exact amount of cals you think you're getting.

Rep Power: 65767 | | | Just for a slight bit of perspective.
I started at 6'4" and 265 also.
In 6 months I am down to 216 and have never intentionally ate less than 2000calories in a day and my average was always around 2300 until recently when I cycled for a month to adjust some things.
Like it has been said above- gradually increase cals and get them to a manageable level. You have no energy because you have no fuel. You are not at a 'plateau' you are at an impasse and you need to change what you do.
You will not gain it all back overnight like Mal said but be prepared to gain a bit back. But with your increased energy levels you will be able to do more.
The goal of this should be to get healthy, not lose weight. You have lost weight but it does not sound like you are very healthy.
