I walk into the gym and I see people doing cardio with just a tshirt and shorts. Others wear those sauna suits and sweatshirts. Will wearing a sweatshirt help you lose weight faster? Obviously you have to stay hydrated and drink more water of you go the sweatshirt route, but does it make a difference?

I see it too. I don't think it makes a difference in how much actual weight you lose, just water, which you should be drinking while your there anyway, so it defeats the purpose.
Do some people wear the shirts because maybe they are embarassed about their body?

I see a few of the sauna suit shirt things too. As for sweatshirts, yes, maybe some of those people just don't like to reveal any part of their bodies? I saw a few people tonight with sweatshirts. They sure shouldn't have been embarrassed!

naah! this is correct, even my trainer stresses on the fact that we should wear sweat shirts during cardio...i had asked him the reason once and he said "When doing cardio, low-intensity for fat loss, you should always wear sweats, so that you can sweat as much as you can" and some what after doing cardio if you are drenched properly in sweat it doesnt feel as if you have worked out...
