Well, I finally got serious. Took some advice from this place and implemented it. Thanks Steve and malficient. You two may be very frank and some what cynical, but the truth is the truth. I began strength training with cardio 6 days a week in early February. I started counting calories and the weight is slowly but surely falling away. I've lost one size, lifted my butt (looks like two hams in my pants instead of one pancake), have a waist that's starting to curve inward(my sides) and can see some definition in my arms, thighs and abs. It's not the fastest I've lost weight but the place I was stuck in is now in the past. It's basically a science and frame of mind. I was looking for short cuts and there just aren't any. A whole 8 lbs. later and I'm on a roll now. Yeah, just 8 lbs! I have a BMR scale which shows I've put on muscle and lost fat so those few pounds do show and I'm amazed like I was years ago. Now that I have my eating under control, which took me two weeks to totally adjust to, the weight loss is accelerating. I'm up to losing 1.5to 2 lbs. a week instead of my initial .5 to 1 lb. per week. I don't know if you can tell in my siggy pic because it's so small and skewed but I am "tighter". Once you get your mind right, become dedicated and consider the quality of life you want to live then you're on the right track. I'm no workout guru but I do know that it all starts with YOU. Make it a daily thing and just keep it up. I can't wait to post my summer pics. Trust me, they will be full sized and I will have a huge smile.

Out of curiosity, what's your daily caloric intake?
Approximately 1300-1500 per day. I need 1940 per day according to my BMR scale. To break the habit of grazing or the afternoon munchies, I'd eat one boiled egg and only 1/3 of the yolk if any. I don't really like the yolks. It's not good to eat too many eggs but it's protein and it will kill the munchies. After eating the egg I was able to at least make a sensible choice at my next meal. I kept boiled eggs on hand just in case but now don't really need them. I also keep pears and they kill my appetite as well. I've also bought a juicer which I juice carrots, celery, ginger root, granny green apples, cucumbers and yams as my drink every morning. This has killed my sweet tooth, or so it seems. Didn't mean to get chatty, just hoping to help someone...
