Rep Power: 0 | | Question for other women about how your breast size has been effected by weight loss Hey guys,
I'm 5'2 and currently about 124 pounds, trying to get back down to 112 or so (I've been gaining about 3 pounds a year for a few years, and now want to lose it all). For the last couple weeks I've been walking about 2 miles more then I used to, and have cut out high fat and calorie foods, averaging 1400-1700 calories a day.
I started at 127, so its been working so far.
My question is, well, about breast size. I've had friends that have cautioned me about how they first thing they lost was fat from their breasts and how unhappy they were about it.
Does anyone have experience with this? Could losing 10-15 pounds have a significant impact on breast size?
I'm not sure if this is a silly question or now, but since this is the internet I'll caution to ask:
if you gain the weight back, are you likly to gain it back in other places on your body? Meaning, well... your breasts are gone forever? Or does your body stay in the same proportions?
Sorry if these questions seem remedial, all imput is much appreciated. |

Rep Power: 4316 | | | When I was 203.5 pounds I wore an incredible size 42F bra---absolutely insane boobage!!!
Now that I'm 163.5 (40 pounds go me!) I'm down to a mere 38DD, maybe a little smaller.
I seriously hope that I could someday lose enough boobage to be able to wear 'pretty' bras that aren't the size of a tent!

Rep Power: 0 | | | I am sure everyone is different. But my experience when I would lose weight is that the first places I lost was my face and boobs. I am no expert but I would think losing 10-15 lbs, would have an impact, just not sure how much of an impact. I'm sure this didn't answer your ?, it's just my 2 cents. LOL

Rep Power: 728598 | | | I was never a very big girl up top- but when i was fat i was a good C cup.
Now ive lost 110lb im down to a very droopy B. It is pretty bad, but do remember ive lost a crapload more than 20lb.
I dont think you will loose that much boobage for just 20lb loss. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I feel like mine have gotten...if you can believe it...BIGGER. They don't seem to fit in my bra as well as they used to. I was hoping for the exact opposite to happen...with any luck it will soon.

I think it was on TLC's What Not to Wear - hardly a source for anything educational I realize - but the hosts of the show once said that if a woman gains or loses 20lbs she should be refitted for a bra - you might change size, you might not... but 20 lbs seemed to be the guideline for a possible change

Rep Power: 854 | | | This was the biggest unexpected, unwanted surprise of my weight loss...the first 40 pounds or so had pretty much zero impact on my cup size but my bra size went down as I lost the fat on my back and sides...that was cool, then the last 9-10 lbs took me from 21%bf to 19%bf over two months...and the girls sort of disappeared in the process - I lost a full cup size...not what I was planning

Rep Power: 35326 | | I've lost about half a cup size...not quite enough to fit into a new size, but the old ones are a little too big I would actually like to lose a little more; like Kaitie said, the prettier ones are made for smaller sizes.

Rep Power: 0 | | | I've only lost around 30 lbs and my girls do seem smaller. I have measured and i have lost a few inches there. I don't care either way though, but I agree with everyone, it depends on the person. We don't really know where fat will come off, we just gotta hope that it comes off in the right places.

Rep Power: 357933 | | in high school and college i probably wore a 34DD - which could be hidden under sweaters - i was tallish so i could pull it off -until i had to wear a swimsuit - man -- those flotation devices are tough to cover up in a speedo swimsuit i used to have to wear a sports bra under my suit otherwise it'd jsut be almost obscene

Rep Power: 728598 | | | I have a pair of togs that have a bra built in, i had to cut the built in bra thing out because it must have been made for DD size. It looked good until i knocked one of the cones and they dented inwards, which just looked demented. There was no way i was filling that baby! |

Rep Power: 6 | | | Fitting a bra is the hardest part of getting clothes to fit as I lose weight... I've lost fat off of my back and sides which means the size goes down, and my boobs are between sizes right now, which means I can squish them into a B or have them float around in a C. When a bit more weight comes off I'll have to drop a size. I always had small boobs, but like wishes said, they actually look bigger now because my stomach isn't sticking out as far. They've always been, well, floppy, and they tend to spread... meaning they're out toward my arms moreso than closer to the middle... I've heard them called "waterwings". The upside of being a smaller size is that I can go and get some really nice bras that make me look good, instead of just looking for something that fits and holds them in place.
Can't believe I'm saying this... eeek!
