most accurate body fat %

What is the best way to tell your body fat percentage? I have Tanita scales that are supposed to calculate it but I don't think that they are accurate on body fat. They are very accurate on weight though. The reason I don't think that they are accurate on body fat is because I've taken them to the gym and 2 girls who are the same height and within a couple pounds of each other on weight said that their body fat is the same when one of them is very flabby and the other is solid muscle. Does that make sense?

I want to figure out the best way to tell what mine is. I'm down 10.6 pounds in a little over a month! YIPPEE!!!!

Congrats on your lose so far.

The problem with the electronic measure is so many things can throw them off. If you aren't hydrated enough, if you are having any sort of cycle, its endless really. I just don't use them period for measuring results.

If you care to measure body fat then get some calipers.

Accu-Measure Body Fat Calipers

Cheap and as close as your are going to get in accuracy for home testing.
