Bad eating habits and how they add up

I downloaded the audio book for Dr. Phil's The Ultimate Weight Solution. I wasn't amazingly impressed by much in the book except one section I think everyone should be aware of:

Bad Eating Habits

Eating second helpings, 200 calories, three times a week
600 calories a week
31,200 calories a year
9lbs a year

Habitual overeating, 380 calories a day, everyday
2,660 calories a week
138,320 calories a year
40lbs a year

Eating a large bagle (4 1/2in dia.) 323 calories rather than a normal sized bagel (3in) 156 calories, three times a week
500 extra calories a week
26,000 extra calories a year
8lbs a year

Eating a large fast food burger (big mac, etc.) 570 calories rather than a smaller burger 260 calories, twice a week
620 extra calories a week
32,240 extra calories a year
9lbs a year

Eating one glazed doughnut during your coffee break, 290 calories, 5 days a week
1,450 calories a week
75,400 calories a year
21lbs a year

Drinking one cup of whole milk 150 calories rather than skim milk 86 calories, twice a day
896 extra calories a week
46,592 extra calories a year
13lbs a year

Drinking one soda 144 calories, everyday
1008 calories a week
52,416 calories a year
15lbs a year

Snacking on 15-20 potato chips a day 150 calories
1050 calories a week
54,600 calories a year
16lbs a year

There were a few more examples but this should get those who are serious about losing weight thinking about where those extra calories are creeping up and that even small changes can jump start weight loss along with proper exercise.

very nice - and also very true.
I was talking to a guy the other day who said 'i cant be on a diet, i hate the taste of diet food and i love my big breakfasts'
So i said 'what did you have for breakfast' it added up to 1000 calories By exchanging a couple of things it tasted the same and was 500calories and he was totally wrapt
