Probably wont see much of the wife here unless she REALLY lets herself go... She could have fit into those shorts with me actually, but then no one would have been able to take the pictures and likely we would have had to post them to a more age appropriate site....

I dropped from a size 52 to 42 in those pics. Currently at 38-40 depending on the pants. With the end in sight I am hoping 36 is just a ocuple months off.

wow thats amazing!! You must be so proud of how far you have come!

I guess I am somewhat proud of the changes I have made, but on the same note, I am very sad it took me so long to make them.

I went through my teens, 20's and 30's as an obese and unhappy man who simply couldn't do all the fun things I wanted. Not because I didnt have the desire, but because the weight made many of the things physically impossible.

Now at almost 40 I could easily keep up with my skinniest friends and in fact out perform all of them in swimming, running, rock climbing, hiking, you name it. But at the time I wanted to do all those things I sadly made excuses and wallowed in my own misery.....

More than pride at my accomplishments I am simply happy to be able to climb a flight of stairs without wanting to keel over and don't suffer from constant aches and pains, other than those attributed to the vigorous exercise I do.

Ah well, live and learn..... I would give anything and everything to have those decades back, but the best I can hope for is to make the future awesome and to share some knowledge I learned the hard way with others, especially younger people, so they can rid themselves of those same demons earlier and get on with their lives.

Then maybe I can start feeling more pride.
