Rep Power: 0 | | | 40 lbs down, 30 to go I just took a new picture of my recent weight loss progress, and thought I would share.
the pic on the left is of me at 240lbs, it was taken back in 2004, but I weighed the same about 3 months ago, so I think it is a close representation of how far I've come. The pic on the right is me on friday (5-04-2007) @ 201lbs, its not quite 40lbs lost but I couldn't wait any longer. I'm happy with my progress so far and look forward to losing another 30. How tall are ya though? Another 30 pounds seems like a lot. You look like a normal sized dude already.

Rep Power: 0 | | | thanks for the comments. I am 6' tall. If I didn't lose another pound I suppose I would be happy, I wear a size 34 pant now, so I could live with that. I just would really like to see my abs, and I assume that I will have to be around 170lbs to do that. |

Gives me a lot of hope, because I am 248 and looking to go down to 210-220 ish. Maybe now is the time to start doing a little more weight training (not knowing your current workout) and see what happens. A 6ft tall guy with your frame I would think would be awfully skinny. at 170 pounds. After losing a little more weight you could build the weight back up again with some muscle too, sure to show the abs then.
But either way buddy you are doing great and I think if you just keep up the good work your body will figure the "right" weight out for you and you will have that 6 pack sooner than later. Probably wont be easy getting to the right size, but I think you are now in sculpting mode instead of weight loss zone.
Fantastic work!

sirant | Well, since you mentioned my workout. I started out with a program like this:
Circuit weight training, Mon/Wed/Fri
Cardio 40 Min. Mon/Wed/Fri
Cardio 40-60 Min. Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun
Once I got about 30lbs off and the weather here in oregon got a little nicer, I switched it up a little. This is my current program:
Cardio Running Outdoors 4.5 Mi Tue/Thur/Sat
Circuit Weight Training Mon/Wed/Fri No cardio on weight days
This is a more realistic workout program I think. I eat around 2000 calories a day, but I do not spend every second counting them. I just stay away from white flour, sweets, and pop. It all seems to work ok for me. |
