Rep Power: 53 | | | My attempt at weight loss. Hey everyone, I posted this picture in my diary but wanted to post it here and start a new before and after thread. I am in my second week of trying to lose weight and here is a picture from about 3 weeks ago and then today the 25th.
I do see a little difference but not a signifigent one, but then again its only been 2 week. I was 295 in the first and now im down to 275.
Comments welcome, but please be honest so I can see what people really think. Thanks for taking the time to check it out. aug25.jpg

Rep Power: 53 | | | Hey guys thanks for all the kind words. its great motivation.
I have only been eating the 3 meals a day. I have not been exercising at all. I know theres going to come a day when i cant lose any more weight by just eating less and then I will start the exercising. I just don't want to shock my body. little steps.
As for the "are you kidding me" comment, I always looked at peoples pictures who said they couldent see a big difference and thought they were crazy. But I guess when it comes to my own I just have a scewed perception. I can definetly see a difference in the two just not a big one.

... I know what you mean I've lost about 15 lbs and to me I can hardly see a difference and to tell you the truth I think I look the same but people around me can see a good difference. I think we can't see differences in ourselves b/c we're too focused on wanting to see a drastic change in our appearance. I'm trying to learn that any difference is good and that it's going to take time for me to see the drastic change I'm looking for. Good luck with the rest of your weight loss.

Rep Power: 0 | | | Are you kidding, you only see an insignificant difference? No way, you should be proud already ! Of course you still have a long road to walk, but now you do have a neck, your arms are thinner and your body isn't as large.
It's great ! and only in 3 weeks?! That's fast! Continue your work ! |

Rep Power: 53 | | | Once again, thanks for the words. I have only been on a strict diet for about 2 weeks now but my mind feels like a healthy person yet when I look in the mirror it doesnt reflect yet. I think thats why looking at photos is so tough. Mentally you feel like your doing everything right, eating , excercising, you feel like a healthy person but when you look at the photo reality hits. I am just trying to get into the frame of mind that this is going to take years before I am truly happy with the way I look.
If I can keep that in mind I think I will be alright.
