Rep Power: 0 | | lost 30.8 pounds Hi everyone
My name is Tony and I am from Singapore and this is my second post here so just want to say hi first before i get off to my story. a 25 yrs old gonna be 26 on Monday anyway standing at 1.78 m i think that 5 '10 not sure about it. I play tennis a lot since 2004 and the thing is I took it for granted, that i will never gain weight as long as I keep playing tennis but i was wrong cause i never watched my diet and kept eating junk food and going for second helping during lunch and dinner a lot and worse was the midnight snacks as I would stay up whole night watching tv and stuff. In Sept 2007 I went to Canada and Chicago and stayed for 2 mths and I didnt do any exercise nothing and I was just letting myself go, when I got back to Singapore everyone was saying I put on a lot of weight and I didnt believe them until I checked my weight which was 96 kg which is 211.2 lbs. when i checked my ideal height i was almost 44 lbs overweight.
I was lucky to get advise from my friend who is a fitness instructor to take up jogging, even though tennis is a great physical sport, it was not enough for my condition. Cause we have a lot of rain in Singapore and some days if i cant find partner to play, i cant get any work out at all. I forced myself to wake up at 4 am, drink black coffee with no sugar and milk. Jog one hr from one neighborhood to another, I dont really like to jog in a park like 10 rounds and stuff cause it really bores me, the same for gym treadmills. It was never easy at first, in fact the first few times i gave up after 1/2 hr cause my body was not used to it and i would bored a lot, and I am sure many of you went through the same thing but I began to enjoy it a lot slowly, instead of doing once a day I did it twice. I even started to lose interest in watching tv during my free time and even playing tennis much. Of cos I dieted a lot also, I cut down on rice a lot, chocolates, ice cream, meats such as lambs and beef. Mostly I would take chicken and bread and some vegetable. I did this since March of this year and now its May and I have reached like 82kg (180.4 lbs). I still have a long way to go cause i want to reach 75 kg but anything is better than being at 96 kg Smiley
I hope some of you can give me some feedback on how i can lose weight even faster without using pills and stuff. I dont believe in an of those gimmicks and they are not healthy just my opinion. My only problem still is I cant stop drinking soft drinks like Coke, I usually drink the coke light and coke zero a lot even though they state they have no calories but I hope its not some gimmick. In the first comparison picture it looks like the picture on the left is squashed from top to bottom and in the 2nd comparision it appears that the picture on the right is squeezed inward. 30 lbs is a good start, but in order to make a real comparison, the pictures need to be put together without skewing them. |
