Hey there. I'm 17 and was obese when I was younger. I lost a decent amount of weight through changing my diet but never really exercised.
My mother tells me that I have loose skin on my stomach and dieting/exercise won't do anything for it, but i'm 100% convinced that it's fat on my stomach and buttocks.
I have attatched 2 pictures of my stomach. Could anybody please confirm whether this is loose skin or fat? I'm almost 100% sure it's fat but she has raised some doubt.
well.. you're better off than I am. But as with me. I can still some fat in there. I refuse to have anyone tell me that its not fixable without surgery, unless they have been sent from the future by me after I've cut to sick lean bodyfat levels and have added a lot of muscle. If theres no fat left in there I'm thinking out skin will go back to normal. But I think that only getting to extreme levels of leanness will cause that. Just my personal mindset
That's fat. I have some loose skin on my belly and it is in a pocket in the very center, when I tighten my stomach you can see my ribs and the skin that is loose is defined. Good luck!
Yeah, I agree with the original poster, fat>loose skin! Fat, you can burn it off naturally, get outside, get fresh air, run....loose skin, if it doesn't snap back, can "require" surgery (obviously it's not required health-wise but sometimes, if there's a lot, it can look kinda bad)
