Smile Half Way!!

I'm new here. I came across this site 2 days ago and decided to join today because of all the encouragement and subsequent success stories I've read.

I started my weight-loss journey this January, but have had many ups and downs, resulting in sporadic weight loss. The highest I've ever been was 205 pounds and I am now 170. I've lost 35 up until May. After that, I gave up for the Summer. Bummer.

I've been recording my journey on my blog, www.205to130.blogspot.com. I honestly was only writing it for myself, I didn't expect anyone to follow it, but Yogen Fruz was apparantly following it, since their yogurt is a key part of my weight loss plan. Check it out and lemme know what you think!

Although I've already lost 35 pounds as I mentioned before, I think I'll use the pics below as my 'Before' pics because losing another 40 pounds will be yet another mission, and the difference in body shape will be far more noticeable than when I went down from 205 to 170.

This forum is wicked. Can't wait to spend endless hours here.

Kenny

EDIT:
Uploading my pics here didn't work. If you'd like to see them, they're posted on my blog. Sorry..

MysticRealm will become famous soon enough
Wow you really need to read the stickies on this thread. NEVER Starve your self! I didn't read the whole thing just bits and pieces so hopefully by now you realized that that is a REALLY stupid thing to do and have found a healthier more sustainable way of losing the weight.
Good luck on your continued (hopefully healthier) weight loss.

I starved myself in the beginning because I wanted to lose weight super quick. It worked. In a 2 weeks I lost 10 pounds, but I hardly ever had the willpower to go the full week. I would end up starving myself for a couple of days and then binging like crazy when my willpower failed. I only successfully starved myself for a full week twice.

I also felt nauseous the entire time I was starving myself. I'd wake up every morning fighting a hurl. Gross. And I'd get nauseous at work easily too, so my managers at my new job weren't happy that I was going home early every day.

Eventually I gave up on the quickie starvation thing, and decided to run for an hour everyday, stairmaster, and this weird gliding machine, while eating loads of veggies.

Losing 35 pounds in 5 months doesn't sound so great, but it didn't span out like that. My *journey* started 5 months ago, but I only perfected my routine in March or April, I believe. So, about 35 pounds in 2-3 months.

I didn't even realize I was half way there until a couple of weeks ago. When I did the math, I was literally bouncing in my chair.

It feels so good to lose with diet and exercise.
