I'll tell you what worked for me, not recommending it, just saying what I did...
Atkins style extreme low carb. I know, it's not a popular thing to say, but it knocked 50 or so lbs off in 4-5 months. If I had the discipline to just eat healthy, I probably could have done the same thing, but I don't. I found that for me, eating fats and protein worked.
Now, I eat a healthy low glycemic impact
diet, but I needed something to jump start my
weight loss. I also exercise at least 5 times a week.
