Rep Power: 1 | | | Before & During - 30lbs down! After years of being overweight I decided to make some small lifestyle changes (and stop being so damned depressed first and foremost). Since Jan 09 I've cut portions, made healthier food selections, and I walk/stretch/jog 5 times a week at least. I've been getting a lot of encouragement from my best friend and a TON of encouragement from my workout buddy (my labrador puppy). I don't weigh in very often and I can't push myself very hard (heart condition XP and no insurance, it's fun ) but I've been pretty steady over the last few months! Quote: |

Exercise: Shallow stair lunges and 2+ miles of walking at least 5x a week, hiking on the weekends
Exercise Buddy: Tyler Durden (T.D.) 1yr old choc. lab | I do most of the picture taking in my family, which means I hide behind the camera and very few fullbody shots of me exist. But these are the few that I could find. Quote: |

Keep it simple and enjoyable.
Best of luck!
Tim Dutton cota-real.com | Exactly! My heart condition was due to a defect and later worsened when I pushed myself during track in high school (haha can you believe I ran distance?) My grandmother tried to give me diet pills about that same time and fortunately my mother saw them before I took them and stopped me, or I might have had even worse issues! For a long time I ballooned and suffered from migraines and terrible blood pressure, but since Jan my avg bp went from 160/90 (resting!) to 130/80 (whew!) without the aid of my prescriptions, this seems to be a miracle! Eventually I will need a new valve and a graft, however XP
Thanks for the support! |
