My bday was in December and I got a tony little gazelle which i find really fun...How long do you think that I should ride it a day for?...Im just tired of asking my friends what to do, they are all just small and have never struggled with always being the bigger beautiful friend like me haha...so Im asking you because I know you have first hand experience and would be my best advice. Also right now my arms and legs are pretty solid so what should I do? thanks Kristen | Hey Kristin!!
Sorry I went to Mexico for a week.
Ok I started in the 240's after my second child. The pic below was taken about 5 weeks after I had him and I had already lost like 15 lbs. I was bigger if you can believe it.
There are many different ways to loose weight and speeds to do it at. I believe that fast weight loss can be Ok but you really need to know how to maintain , when you get down. Most people go on a diet then right back to normal. That is why so many people push lifestyle over diet. My personal theory for myself is do whatever works! Everyone is so different.
As far a working out, your body will start to change and you may need to switch it up I woulds say about every 5 weeks, cuz your muscles get use to what you are doing and you wont burn as much and you will feel like you are on a plateau. You just have to work harder. I would lift, most gals think.."oh I don't want to get bulky" YOU WONT!! Having muscle on your body will help you loose weight 10 times faster. muscle takes way more calories to exist than fat, so while you are sleeping at night if you have muscle you will burn more calories that if you don't. There are some definite numbers on exactly how much more muscle burns than fat but I dont know them off hand.
It is also important to know your "zones" when you are working out, you can workout really really hard and be in the wrong "zone" and not burn as much fat as someone who is in the correct zone. Heart-Rate Zones
above is a link to a website that has some information. Just google it to learn more about it, I myself and just starting to understand this concept.
You will be able to know about how long and how hard you need to work on your Gazelle.
Hope this helps.

Rep Power: 0 | | thanks Connie Im so glad that you are able to help me out! You can be my "trainer" hehe...I appreciate it I've lost 7 lbs now and I feel so much better already...that is cool how more muscle burns more at night...I never knew that! I ate lunch out every day an now I pack my lunch so far every day this quarter though I dont get to work out as much as I would like I have been parking further and walking even though it is FREEZING in Columbus right now! I hope you had a great time in Mexico...what part did you go to, the gulf is beautiful!

Rep Power: 5113 | | | Holy WOW!! From beautiful to GORGEOUS!!!! No kidding!! Your photos, before and after should be plastered all over the internet and billboards around the world as inspiration for a "growing" population. Fantastic work! If I look half as good when I am at my goal I will be the happiest person alive.
Thank you for sharing your photos, I know they have given myself, and many others I am sure, a big boost in the right direction!
Congrats!!!

Rep Power: 0 | | Hi there, you've done amazing! Oh go on post pics of your legs, you know you want to We all have different shapes, and a pear shape is probably one of the most healthy to be, especially as i read about your heart condition.
I also use weights, only 3kg ones, I think thats enough as i dont want to be musicly, but i've found i've lost inches when i've lost no weight by using them. When i was losing weight and not using weights I lost barely anything off my arms and I've also been using them for my stomach by lieing on the floor and working them behind my head (bit hard to explain) but it is helpng to change my stomach shape i think.
keep up with your plan, it's obviously working, although i kind of disagree about losing weight if you go to bed hungry but it is kind of nice to feel hungry at times and ignore it, it's like you got one over on your stomach! |

Yeah my legs!! UMM no thanks!! I had the best legs ever!! I hope they re appear after some more weight comes off!! I am a total pear!! Upper body shots are good, but my thys and butt, you can really see why I am 190-200.
I am really gonna hit the weights hard in the next 3 months. I was very muscular before the weight and i never really lifted much, it was just from being a athlete I guess. I am gonna put a before before pic of when i was 155 up one of these days.
Going to bed hungry really does help weight loss, but it is very hard for some. I always did it, cuz I would have my last meal of the day at 7 then by the time i would go to bed I would be. Then I saw that advice on Oprah. I have to medical proof that it works, only tried it and heard it else where. I personally love waking up feeling light and smaller, and going to bed a little hungry always does it for me.
